A DEDICATION service will take place for the classroom addition to their school at 10:45 am on Sunday, January 18, 2009. Come join the celebration and see where Texas CEF is using your investment dollars.
The congregation hosted the bi-monthly meeting of the Board for Church Extension. They received a Texas CEF loan to build a new sanctuary. One part of the project is the remodeling of the former worship space into a new narthex. The photo shows Cal Spencer explaining the progress of this work to members of the board.
The Board for Church Extension has approved a reduction in Texas CEF loan rates. The index for self-supporting congregations was cut from 5.50% to 5.00%. The index for new starts was cut from 4.75% to 4.25%. Congregations will begin paying the new rate at the next change date specified in their loan documents.
All borrowing congregations also participate in CEF's Incentive Rebate Plan. Based on the level of supporting investments compared to their loan balance they can earn an annual cash rebate of up to 1%.

It was a great celebration on Sunday, January 11, 2009, as this new start dedicated their first ministry building. Seven members of the Board for Church Extension plus CEF staff joined members and friends of the congregation to praise God for the great things He is doing for and through this congregation.
