Eight years ago on Palm Sunday Cross broke ground for the first phase of construction at their new campus on the north side of town. This year on Palm Sunday (April 5) they broke ground for the second phase of construction, a sanctuary.
Texas District Church Extension Fund announces a special promotion for subscriptions to its electronic newsletter, Extension Extra. From now until September 30, 2009 CEF will pay $1 for every new subscription to Extension Extra. Payments will be made in October 2009 to the congregation credited for the subscription at sign up. To subscribe go the CEF's website, www.TexasCEF.org, click the link "Subscribe to Extension Extra" and follow the directions. The training conference was a great success. We are grateful to the congregational representatives who carved out a weekend for the event. A new section has been added to CEF's website. It has conference photos and downloadable copies of the presenters PowerPoint slides. The congregation borrowed the funds to purchase two modular buildings for their campus and recently finished paying for them. Beautiful Savior is located at 5851 New York Ave in southeast Arlington.
