Extension Extra Subscription Incentive

Texas District Church Extension Fund announces a special promotion for subscriptions to its electronic newsletter, Extension Extra. From now until September 30, 2009 CEF will pay $1 for every new subscription to Extension Extra. Payments will be made in October 2009 to the congregation credited for the subscription at sign up. To subscribe go to CEF's website, www.TexasCEF.org, click the link "Subscribe to Extension Extra" and follow the directions. Tell the investors and potential investors in your congregation about this great opportunity to get news about CEF and to raise money for your congregation.

Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown

The masonry on the front of the congregation's new sanctuary is almost complete. Members had the opportunity to write a favorite Bible verse or hymn on the studs in the new narthex before the walls got closed in with sheet rock.

Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in Sugar Land

With their new addition under construction the congregation selected "God The Builder" as their VBS theme.

The current worship area was set up as a construction site. Kids and leaders filled the space.

This year's attendance was 177 - capacity for the current facility. Everyone is looking forward to next year when the new space is finished and they can accomodate more children.

Cross Lutheran Church in New Braunfels

Rebar has been placed and tied for the foundation and slab. Trucks will be pulling in the drive to pour concrete soon.

St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lake Jackson

The project is progressing. Brick and stucco work on the front of the building is finished. Inside the sheet rock has been installed, taped and floated. Paint is going on the walls.

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Arlington

June 21, 2009 the congregation celebrated paying off one of their CEF notes. Pastor Brian Cummins and President Danny Lehnertz of Beautiful Savior and Steve Block, CEF Executive Director, (holding a big match) watch the paid off note burn. Now that's holy smoke!
