Texas District Church Extension Fund announces a special promotion for subscriptions to its electronic newsletter, Extension Extra. From now until September 30, 2009 CEF will pay $1 for every new subscription to Extension Extra. Payments will be made in October 2009 to the congregation credited for the subscription at sign up. To subscribe go to CEF's website, www.TexasCEF.org, click the link "Subscribe to Extension Extra" and follow the directions. Tell the investors and potential investors in your congregation about this great opportunity to get news about CEF and to raise money for your congregation.
CEF's new offering circular, effective July 1, 2009, is now available on our website. You may view or download the document. Investors should read and understand the offering circular as one step in their due diligence process before making an investment. If you would like a printed copy of the Offering Circular call Darlene Greer (800-951-3478) and she will mail you one.
Paul Burrough was elected to the Board for Church Extension by Texas District directors at their July 2009 meeting. Paul and his wife, Molly, and their family are members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Weatherford.
Chris Bannwolf retired from the Board for Church Extension after reaching his term limit. Chris, a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in San Antonio, served twelve years on the board including six as chairman. He had a perfect attendance record, never missing a meeting in his twelve years. We value the contributions he made to the church extension ministry.

The slab for the new sanctuary is in and when the steel is in place, then we will see the building going vertical.

Did you know you can designate your Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) individual retirement accounts (IRA) to support your Texas District congregation?
Traditional, Roth and Education accounts can be opened with a simple telephone call to LCEF. They will also handle IRA rollovers from existing retirement accounts for you. Remember; when you open your IRA with LCEF tell them, “I want this investment to support Texas District Church Extension Fund for my Congregation.”
